The audience was convinced that Laurens Kregel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernan Txomin was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After 58 played minutes SUPER BOCA JUNIORS F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Laurens Kregel. SUPER BOCA JUNIORS F.C.'s Lázaro Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Rudolfo in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, SUPER BOCA JUNIORS F.C.'s Geronimo Isauro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernan Txomin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Pastor Rudolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Carolo Mosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lanús FC's Pastor Rudolfo in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pastor Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Herena having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Lanús FC got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Sanduru. Many of Lanús FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Lanús FC may have spent more time on the ball, but SUPER BOCA JUNIORS F.C. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
