After having played for 20 minutes, Raul Garikoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alsina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Garikoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alsina's zone, Per-Oskar Olofsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Salbatore came out of the goal and Per-Oskar Olofsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Bernal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

David Salbatore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clodoveo Ebardo in the 52nd minute. Bernal's Filiberto Estavan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Salbatore in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alsina's David Salbatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Alsina from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute, Sergio Balendin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Garikoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Per-Oskar Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Salbatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Filiberto Estavan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Salbatore quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bernal were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Alsina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filiberto Estavan took the corner. 85 minutes into the game when Ramiro Perutxo tried to clear up in front of the goal it happened that the ball rolled into goal via right pole. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 0-2. Erik Marollys short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got David Salbatore to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Salbatore made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Erik Marolly sent off a good shot on target. Raul Garikoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Elias Gar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Justino Gartxot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elias Gar. Bernal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justino Gartxot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Bernal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bernal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
