The C.A.Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Severino Bartolome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Lizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th match minute, Ciénega FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Otsoa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when Ciénega FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Miliano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Bartolome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Lauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 40th minute Emilio Bemabe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Bartolome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Bartolome. Severino Bartolome dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. 46 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Dominix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Bartolome. Ciénega FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Dominix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Bemabe to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Emilio Bemabe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severino Bartolome. That made the score 0-9 in the 52 minute of play. Severino Bartolome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Bemabe in the 59th minute of play forced Ciénega FC's goalkeeper Severino Bartolome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Bartolome stood somewhat misplaced when Emilio Bemabe came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 62 minute. Feliciano Lauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Severino Bartolome tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ricardo-Enrique Bochini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Bartolome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Lauro in the 70th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Ciénega FC got a freekick which was hit by Adan Otsoa. In the 79th minute, Wilfredo Boni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Bartolome. Ezequiel Cordeara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Bartolome having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Emilio Bemabe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Severino Bartolome, 0-13. Severino Bartolome made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Lauro in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo-Enrique Bochini got free with Severino Bartolome in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the match, Abelardo Lizar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Severino Bartolome, 0-14. The Ciénega FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.A.Independiente were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
