In the 4th minute Saul Jeraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Lixandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Braulio Erramu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Askanios Demopoulos in the 8th minute of play forced Barrialito's goalkeeper Delmar Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Skoda Xanthi FC's Everardo Lixandro got control of the ball when Saul Jeraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Barrialito defense, Braulio Erramu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmar Handi. The Barrialito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmar Handi should have stopped the shot. After 21 minutes of play, Barrialito's Saul Jeraldo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Everardo Lixandro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th match minute, Barrialito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Hunfredo to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Skoda Xanthi FC defense, Saul Jeraldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Lixandro. The Skoda Xanthi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Lixandro should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Hunfredo got free with Everardo Lixandro in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 31 played minutes Skoda Xanthi FC got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Rios. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Askanios Demopoulos in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmar Handi saved Barrialito from getting behind. Skoda Xanthi FC's Everardo Lixandro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Skoda Xanthi FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Skoda Xanthi FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luciano Pacifico hit a great ball. Askanios Demopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Askanios Demopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Askanios Demopoulos scored 2-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delmar Handi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Saul Jeraldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Ourente in the 62nd minute of play forced Barrialito's goalkeeper Delmar Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Emilio Vimaro fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrialito's protests and gave Emilio Vimaro a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Barrialito got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Vimaro. 69 minutes into the match, Askanios Demopoulos notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Barrialito's Delmar Handi. Delmar Handi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Everardo Lixandro came out of the goal and Saul Jeraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everardo Lixandro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Jeraldo in the 88th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Pacifico in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmar Handi saved Barrialito from getting behind. Delmar Handi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Askanios Demopoulos in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Simon Nastasio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrialito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skoda Xanthi FC the free kick. Simon Nastasio kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes, Skoda Xanthi FC's Luciano Pacifico shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delmar Handi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Skoda Xanthi FC reached it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Skoda Xanthi FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
