Eleuterio Constancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Nordgren having to interfere. Lisandro Nabar hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Jaime Katia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celso Artal skillfully saved the ball. Julio Viator might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Artal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julio Viator ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the game, Quinteros's Jaime Katia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celso Artal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Celso Artal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Katia in the 46th minute of play. Celso Artal came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Quinteros's Jaime Katia. But to his dismay, Jaime Katia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Riemer Schipper stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jaime Katia in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Celso Artal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Barnaba Jajesniak's late challenge caught a Goyeneche FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barnaba Jajesniak helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Quinteros getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Barnaba Jajesniak hit a great ball. Jaime Katia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Barnaba Jajesniak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Goyeneche FC's Celso Artal did a great save. Julio Viator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Artal having to interfere. In the 89thth minute of the game Riemer Schipper who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quinteros's Rudolf Nordgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Katia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Celso Artal made a huge save. Cayetano Silvino hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Celso Artal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quinteros walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
