Prudencio Aguirre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damian Sotil went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Prudencio Aguirre came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Fernández's Evelio Chano. But to his dismay, Evelio Chano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 62 minutes into the match, Guardamonte AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Sotil came free, but Prudencio Aguirre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Damian Sotil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prudencio Aguirre was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 66th minute of the match Aldo Mel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prudencio Aguirre skillfully saved the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Damian Sotil lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Prudencio Aguirre. Eriberto Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Jacob having to interfere.
