No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 60 played minutes, Bellocq's Geronimo Taurino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Honorio Vela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bellocq reached it. Leandro Pietro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Van Beylen went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 83 minutes, Serafino Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafino Tono was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Benjamin Espiridion had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leandro Pietro. Bellocq's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Espiridion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some careless play in the Bellocq defense, Mathias Van Beylen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Pietro. The Bellocq fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Pietro should have stopped the shot. If Cecilio Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the RIVER PLATE players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
