The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Guillermo Tebaldo a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Tebaldo. With his leg Jeronimo Sayvion managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Borbotones FC's Alfredo Torres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 6th minute, Rafael Mendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 minutes River Plate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Honorio Hug who took care of the corner kick. When Vicente Sandalio fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The supporters of River Plate booed when Borbotones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Sandalio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes Alfredo Torres rounded River Plate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 18th minute Alfredo Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borbotones FC's Alfredo Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Cloyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Gaufred in the 23rd minute of the match. Alfredo Torres did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Jeronimo Sayvion 28 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes of play Borbotones FC's Vicente Sandalio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of River Plate booed when Borbotones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Sandalio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Rafael Mendez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustavo Cloyo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alfredo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Toli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Sayvion having to interfere. After 38 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Itzaina. 42 minutes into the game, Aaron Toli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jeronimo Sayvion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cosme Eneas, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. River Plate's Jeronimo Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Torres in the 56th minute of play. Jeronimo Sayvion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Txordon, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Adrian Enetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cloyo having to interfere. Alfredo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Borbotones FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Abancens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeronimo Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Torres in the 81st minute of the match. Borbotones FC's attack was well implemented in the 83rd minute, but when Alfredo Torres was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Jeronimo Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Torres in the 84th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Enetz. When the referee ended the match the Borbotones FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
