Estudiantes DLP's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Geofredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Jerrold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Amadeo Fresco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Esteve Jerrold to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Matadores FC defense, Amadeo Fresco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteve Jerrold. The Matadores FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteve Jerrold should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Matadores FC's zone, Amadeo Fresco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Jerrold came out of the goal and Amadeo Fresco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonel Galsino kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeo Fresco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Estudiantes DLP's Marciano Dacio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esteve Jerrold narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Estudiantes DLP had played much better football throughout.
