Amadeo Fresco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Ramone having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Huaitiquina's zone, Amadeo Fresco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Ramone came out of the goal and Amadeo Fresco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Fresco in the 42nd minute of play forced Huaitiquina's goalkeeper Jairo Ramone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Delmar Mero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santos Dalmau was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amadeo Fresco made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Huaitiquina's goalkeeper Jairo Ramone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeo Fresco. Santos Dalmau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmar Mero in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Huaitiquina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Pelagius to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute Ildefonso Eladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Ramone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Terciero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Dalmau having to interfere. Huaitiquina were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Estudiantes DLP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arturo Rameriz took the corner. Huaitiquina's Arturo Rameriz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santos Dalmau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Omar Amor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Huaitiquina getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Omar Amor hit a great ball. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Amadeo Fresco managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 1-3 in the 98th minute. The Huaitiquina fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Estudiantes DLP were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
