Julian Aznar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot by Aristides Matro from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got 柯凌远's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by 高树益 in the 25th minute of play forced Playa Honda FC's goalkeeper Amadeo Gervaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that 高树益's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Gervaso was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The Playa Honda FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monumental FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Beila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Edgard Jakes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Monumental FC's 高树益 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeo Gervaso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Playa Honda FC's Hermengildo Beila got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The shot was a little too simple and Amadeo Gervaso could save by the left post. 柯凌远 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Beila in the 92nd minute of play. Edgard Jakes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian Aznar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Amadeo Gervaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monumental FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
