The referee ignored Rayo Platense's protests and gave Evelio Udalaitz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rayo Platense's Evelio Udalaitz got a free kick in the 5th minute. Rayo Platense's Blas Huly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Txartiko in the 6th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, DOÑA TIGRA's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Tartalo came free, but Ceferino Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rayo Platense booed when DOÑA TIGRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Chorache didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Elpidio Tartalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ceferino Suarez was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Blas Huly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Chorache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Roberto Viator managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo Platense's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Viator was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Suarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in DOÑA TIGRA's zone, Elpidio Tartalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Suarez came out of the goal and Elpidio Tartalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elpidio Tartalo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Ceferino Suarez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Elpidio Tartalo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Rayo Platense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Tartalo couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Tartalo to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, DOÑA TIGRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Lucado to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Elpidio Tartalo made a precise shot to the right of Ceferino Suarez. DOÑA TIGRA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Modesto Quilino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Elpidio Tartalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, DOÑA TIGRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Cristofor to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Paolo Chorache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DOÑA TIGRA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After 83 minutes, Elpidio Tartalo made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. DOÑA TIGRA's Ceferino Suarez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88thth minute of the game Elpidio Tartalo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DOÑA TIGRA's Ceferino Suarez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Tartalo in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ceferino Suarez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. DOÑA TIGRA's Ceferino Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Viator in the 91st minute of play. Roberto Viator kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Blas Huly made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Jaime Txartiko sent off a good shot on target. Elpidio Tartalo struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ceferino Suarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rayo Platense. Rayo Platense walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
