But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Poncio couldn't finish the play. Hector Poncio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Ruy having to interfere. If Clodoveo Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Martxot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hector Poncio struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Felicia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Martxot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
