Emiliano Unax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Sotero in the 22nd minute of play. Gregorio Llin scored 1-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emiliano Unax, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Luján defense, Mauricio Sotero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Unax. The Luján fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Unax should have stopped the shot. The Luján players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Leon FC were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Mauricio Sotero made the kick off in the second half. Uriel Oalo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Gregorio Llin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, El Leon FC's Mauricio Sotero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. A collision led to El Leon FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Leonardo Nayely hit a great ball. If Manuel Lastur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Sixto Ler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Gizon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Luján booed when El Leon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Oalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Kimetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Unax having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Mauricio Sotero could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Emiliano Unax however easily saved by the left post. In the 87th minute, Mauricio Sotero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Leon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. 90 minutes into the match, El Leon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Ler came free, but Victorino Gizon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over El Leon FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Luján throughout the match.
