In the 4th minute, Marco Menendo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisc Papa during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of La Chispa Loca booed when Verde de Arroyito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisc Papa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6thth minute of the game Domingo Dodorol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verde de Arroyito's Virgilio Mambru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Menendo got free with Vladimir Akinfeev in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladimir Akinfeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Macias in the 14th minute of the match. Virgilio Mambru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Romildo in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, La Chispa Loca's Domingo Dodorol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Mambru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Verde de Arroyito's Generoso Vigil got a free kick in the 18th minute. Domingo Dodorol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marco Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, La Chispa Loca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Estevez to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match Generoso Vigil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vladimir Akinfeev skillfully saved the ball. Domingo Dodorol took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Mambru. Virgilio Mambru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Victor Romildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Victor Romildo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Mambru was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Marco Menendo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Akinfeev having to make a save. After having played for 42 minutes, Domingo Dodorol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Chispa Loca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Dodorol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Verde de Arroyito's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Romildo came free, but Virgilio Mambru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Vladimir Akinfeev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half La Chispa Loca were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Domingo Dodorol to strike the kick off in the second half. Hemmert Esses kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Virgilio Mambru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Dodorol in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Verde de Arroyito's Paulo Abalos got a free kick in the 60th minute. Virgilio Mambru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Dodorol, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Victor Romildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, Domingo Dodorol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Chispa Loca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Dodorol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Abalos charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Abalos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Abalos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Verde de Arroyito got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Abalos. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Verde de Arroyito's goalkeeper Virgilio Mambru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Dodorol in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Mambru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Verde de Arroyito's Francisc Papa got a free kick in the 95th minute. Victor Romildo struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Virgilio Mambru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Chispa Loca. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Chispa Loca eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
