Vilela's Fabian Lucila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Ramos in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Carmen AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Ariel Orlondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Opilano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaac Opilano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Bemabe went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nicanor Abaunza charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicanor Abaunza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Carmen AFC's Nicanor Abaunza got a free kick in the 38th minute. Vilela's Guillermo Bemabe got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillermo Bemabe took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaac Opilano. Isaac Opilano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guillermo Bemabe made a kick off. Elias Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Elias Lopez could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Isaac Opilano however easily saved by the left post. Guillermo Bemabe struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Isaac Opilano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilela. Flavio Mede's late challenge caught a Carmen AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Mede helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Carmen AFC's Paulo Theobald got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 68 minutes, Leandro Telesforo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilela and the Carmen AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Vilela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Bemabe to maneuver through the defense.
