Isidoro Peio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godofredo Millrick's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After a defensive mix-up in 102 Años Plus's zone, Bebeto Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Peio came out of the goal and Bebeto Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Bebeto Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bebeto Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidoro Peio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Millrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Heriberto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Paolo Felipillo made a huge save. River FC's Emilio Egun got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jimeno Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Felipillo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebeto Terra in the 43rd minute of play forced 102 Años Plus's goalkeeper Isidoro Peio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Peio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Millrick in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, River FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Gartzea to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to 102 Años Plus getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jimeno Medina hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ildefonso Gauargi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Emilio Egun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isidoro Peio. The goal made the score 0-2. 57 minutes into the match, River FC's Emilio Egun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidoro Peio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ole-Martin Tjessem charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ole-Martin Tjessem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, one of River FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for River FC. Aquiles Txerran shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Severino Belarmo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Jacobo Aballe, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Isidoro Peio made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Bebeto Terra sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Isidoro Peio managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when River FC's Godofredo Millrick fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ildefonso Gauargi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Paolo Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River FC's Ole-Martin Tjessem got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Ole-Martin Tjessem off the ground. In the 90th minute of the match Fermin Dolfos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paolo Felipillo skillfully saved the ball. In the 91st minute Ildefonso Gauargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Felipillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 102 Años Plus supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching River FC's performance. The match ended with a win for River FC.
