Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Izel in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damaso Cordeara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marciano Oriol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damaso Cordeara having to make a save. Marciano Oriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 minutes, Justino Maureo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Escalada FC and the El Rojo de Macachín players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Escalada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Maureo to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Ixona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igor Luix. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. Damaso Cordeara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Abadia in the 32nd minute of the match. Desiderio Gamus hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, El Rojo de Macachín's Kylian Haaland got a free kick in the 34th minute. Reynaldo Cordeal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the game, Gervasio Behe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Rojo de Macachín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escalada FC the free kick. Gervasio Behe hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Escalada FC's Faustino Izel in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Rojo de Macachín's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudio Merexildo to strike the kick off in the second half. Escalada FC's Igor Luix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Merexildo in the 51st minute of play. After 54 minutes, Esteve Dabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Rojo de Macachín and the Escalada FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, one of El Rojo de Macachín:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Rojo de Macachín. The referee gave Escalada FC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Esteban Braun, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of El Rojo de Macachín's Damaso Cordeara. 1-1. Escalada FC's Igor Luix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Ixona in the 60th minute of play. Claudio Merexildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Igor Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Ixona in the 67th minute of play forced Escalada FC's goalkeeper Igor Luix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Luix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Merexildo in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Manuel Ixona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Igor Luix was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Escalada FC's Faustino Izel in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Rojo de Macachín's goalie prevented a goal. After 77 played minutes El Rojo de Macachín got a freekick which was hit by Desiderio Gamus. After recieving a nice pass, Escalada FC's Esteban Braun tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, El Rojo de Macachín's Damaso Cordeara got control of the ball when Faustino Izel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Aimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Luix. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Aimar ran back to his position shaking his head. 87 minutes into the match, El Rojo de Macachín's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Izel came free, but Damaso Cordeara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Rojo de Macachín getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Claudio Merexildo hit a great ball. When Escalada FC's Faustino Izel in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Rojo de Macachín's goalie prevented a goal. In the 92nd minute, Kylian Haaland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in El Rojo de Macachín's zone, Faustino Izel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Cordeara came out of the goal and Faustino Izel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Escalada FC's goalkeeper Igor Luix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. El Rojo de Macachín were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Escalada FC for a fine match.
