After 19 played minutes, Los Pibes del Barrio's Horacio Columbo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celso Gimenez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Pibes del Barrio reached it. When Ladislao Txanton fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Pibes del Barrio's protests and gave Ladislao Txanton a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Los Pibes del Barrio got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Txanton. yuyo cabj's Alfredo Acevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Los Pibes del Barrio's zone, Alfredo Acevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When yuyo cabj's Francesco Capobianco, in the 32nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for yuyo cabj. Wilfredo Servando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Hever, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. yuyo cabj's Francesco Capobianco got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Reynaldo Hever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alfredo Acevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Alfredo Acevedo made the kick off in the second half. Celso Gimenez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Osmundo in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Los Pibes del Barrio's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Acevedo came free, but Wilfredo Servando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance. yuyo cabj's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
