Los Pensioneros FC's Rodolfo Nalo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Modesto Ferman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Gustau, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When Amado Gaizkine came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Los Pensioneros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Gaizkine couldn't finish the play. The nice shot from Rodolfo Nalo in the 22ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Modesto Ferman had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After having played for 23 minutes, Aquiles Gustau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Pensioneros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Gustau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Los Pensioneros FC booed when Alumbrera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Rodolfo Nalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Pensioneros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Nalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Ferman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alumbrera fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Modesto Ferman, was totally fooled by Los Pensioneros FC's Aquiles Gustau, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A hard shot 40 in the game by Rodolfo Nalo from a close distance when the talented Modesto Ferman managed to make a qualified save. Alumbrera's players were relieved. Aquiles Gustau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Modesto Ferman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Jacobo Perico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alumbrera and the Los Pensioneros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alumbrera:s Modesto Ferman showed great skill when he stopped Aquiles Gustau:s penalty. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After 54 played minutes Los Pensioneros FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Cheche. If Aquiles Gustau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Gustau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Alumbrera defense, Aquiles Gustau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Modesto Ferman. The Alumbrera fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Modesto Ferman should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquiles Gustau in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Modesto Ferman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Rodolfo Nalo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Pensioneros FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 86th minute Aquiles Gustau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Ferman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Simon Ongile made a precise shot to the right of Isidro Velasco. Los Pensioneros FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Gustau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Modesto Ferman was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
