Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Providencia's Fermin Savion started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baltasar Ceandro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fermin Savion in the 5th minute. Fermin Savion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes of play, Olavarría's Eloy Txerran made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eleuterio Ramirez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eloy Txerran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eleuterio Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Txerran in the 22nd minute of play forced Providencia's goalkeeper Eleuterio Ramirez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fermin Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Olavarría's Desiderio Tiadoro got a free kick in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Providencia's Fermin Savion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltasar Ceandro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Baltasar Ceandro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Providencia's Fermin Savion got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Fermin Savion ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Ceandro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zacarias Orland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Luis Macias made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Olavarría's Baltasar Ceandro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Olavarría's Baltasar Ceandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fermin Savion in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Olavarría's zone, Luis Macias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Ceandro came out of the goal and Luis Macias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Fermin Savion had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baltasar Ceandro. Olavarría's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Savion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Salvador Brun's late challenge caught a Providencia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Brun helped the player get up and apologised. Salvador Brun hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Fermin Savion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
