Modesto Chus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 8th minute, Amadeo Teofilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 9 played minutes Paganzo got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Bembe. Modesto Chus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Romildo in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Ibar saved Rivadavia from getting behind. The long shot by Nicasio Tanio in the 19th minute really tested Modesto Chus's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Rivadavia booed when Paganzo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Quintin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Romildo in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Celestino Intxixu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Oscar Ibar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th minute Felipe Barto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Ibar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paganzo 's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ermegildo Quintin in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Felipe Barto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paganzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Oscar Ibar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Romildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Ibar having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paganzo 's Rodolfo Bembe got a free kick in the 51st minute. Modesto Chus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the game, Marcelino Estebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paganzo 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rivadavia the free kick. Oscar Ibar acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alejandro Ramond. 63 minutes into the match, Rivadavia's goalkeeper Oscar Ibar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Romildo. With a little luck, Rivadavia's Oscar Ibar got control of the ball when Arnulfo Romildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Amadeo Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivadavia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Teofilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Celestino Intxixu fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paganzo 's protests and gave Celestino Intxixu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Celestino Intxixu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnulfo Romildo got free with Oscar Ibar in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oscar Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barto in the 77th minute of the match. Oscar Ibar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnulfo Romildo in the 84th minute. Arnulfo Romildo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Oscar Ibar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paganzo . 88 minutes into the match, Paganzo 's Felipe Barto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Ibar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rivadavia's Guillermo Enmanuel got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Felipe Barto came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Paganzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barto couldn't finish the play. The Paganzo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Paganzo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
