Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Epifanio Sarracino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Epifanio Sarracino to maneuver through the defense. Cachiyuyo's Luciano Malvin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Newells Old Boys. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachiyuyo's goalkeeper Ruperto Bide, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dalmacio Rodriguez kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Leonel Gorbea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Cisco having to make a save. With a little luck, Newells Old Boys's Baldomero Cisco got control of the ball when Fernando Lehen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonel Gorbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomero Cisco made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Fernando Lehen sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Viator came free, but Ruperto Bide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Newells Old Boys's Baldomero Cisco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Newells Old Boys from getting a goal against them. Rene Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Fernando Lehen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Baldomero Cisco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 42nd match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Goi to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Cachiyuyo's Leonel Gorbea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baldomero Cisco. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonel Gorbea to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Newells Old Boys's zone, Fernando Lehen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Cisco came out of the goal and Fernando Lehen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruperto Bide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Fernando Lehen notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Newells Old Boys's Baldomero Cisco. Baldomero Cisco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Gorbea in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Cisco saved Newells Old Boys from getting behind. Baldomero Cisco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Gorbea in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Fabian Goi hit a great ball. Baldomero Cisco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes of play, Cachiyuyo's Leonel Gorbea made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomero Cisco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgard Viator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ruperto Bide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Cachiyuyo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dante Vasco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 88th minute of the match Angelo Manex shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Cisco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Newells Old Boys's Baldomero Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Lehen in the 89th minute of play. Leonel Gorbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Cisco having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Salvador Tavio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fernando Lehen came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Cachiyuyo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Lehen couldn't finish the play. After 98 minutes, Leonel Gorbea made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Newells Old Boys's Baldomero Cisco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
