In the 47th minute, one of MATADOR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MATADOR. The referee gave ciencia y sudor a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Florentino Tiadoro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MATADOR's Karl-Johan Thorsberg. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximo Roland to make the kick off.
