After 16 played minutes, c.a.boca juniors's Samuel Jakue shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antonio Oxarra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in c.a.boca juniors reached it. With a little luck, FC. GOLEADORES's Antonio Oxarra got control of the ball when Samuel Jakue tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th match minute, FC. GOLEADORES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Mergildo to maneuver through the defense. Ercan Murathan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Leopoldo Honesto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC. GOLEADORES and the c.a.boca juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. c.a.boca juniors's Edgard Hitz has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 31st minute. Antonio Oxarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lisandro Bartuelo's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Lisandro Bartuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Oxarra having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidele Olmos got free with Antonio Oxarra in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

FC. GOLEADORES's Antonio Oxarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercan Murathan in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC. GOLEADORES's zone, Fidele Olmos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Oxarra came out of the goal and Fidele Olmos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Oxarra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercan Murathan in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santo Firmo in the 67th minute of play forced c.a.boca juniors's goalkeeper Antonio Bernard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Mambru hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Lisandro Bartuelo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Samuel Jakue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Oxarra having to interfere. FC. In the 79th minute Fidele Olmos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match.
