Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 142) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Americo Mel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aurelio Distiratsu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Roman Pacifico skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rogelio Mitxel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Burni in the 10th minute of the match. Roman Pacifico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes, Americo Mel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lapataia and the Madariaga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Americo Mel hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Rogelio Mitxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Fiz in the 28th minute of play. If Amador Sesuldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luciano Abajas during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Luciano Abajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Lapataia booed when Madariaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Betadur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurelio Distiratsu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Roman Pacifico skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 43rd minute, Americo Mel made a precise shot to the right of Rogelio Mitxel. Madariaga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Distiratsu made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Lapataia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Columbo to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Distiratsu in the 56th minute of play forced Lapataia's goalkeeper Roman Pacifico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roman Pacifico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Distiratsu in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match Gaston Cortez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roman Pacifico showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Lapataia's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Distiratsu came free, but Roman Pacifico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Distiratsu in the 67th minute of play forced Lapataia's goalkeeper Roman Pacifico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Distiratsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roman Pacifico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Distiratsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Distiratsu in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Pacifico saved Lapataia from getting behind. After 78 minutes of play, Madariaga's Aurelio Distiratsu made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roman Pacifico was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Justino Bibiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Rogelio Mitxel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Luciano Abajas came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Lapataia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Abajas couldn't finish the play. After having played for 89 minutes, Gaston Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madariaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurelio Distiratsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Roman Pacifico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaston Cortez in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Pacifico saved Lapataia from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Madariaga had played much better football throughout.
