In the 8th minute, Raimundo Burni made a precise shot to the right of Zacarias Onbera. Unanué's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Zacarias Onbera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Burni in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Unanué's zone, Raimundo Burni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Onbera came out of the goal and Raimundo Burni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 minutes, Bernardo Blai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unanué and the Lapataia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Lapataia. Siro Inocente stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zacarias Onbera. 0-2. 25 minutes into the game, Americo Mel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lapataia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unanué the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lapataia's Americo Mel got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Americo Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unanué's Zacarias Onbera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Mel in the 33rd minute of play. Luciano Abajas charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Abajas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lapataia's Luciano Abajas got a free kick in the 39th minute. Americo Mel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zacarias Onbera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Raimundo Burni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Americo Mel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fidel Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Raimundo Burni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fidel Policarpio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Roman Pacifico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvio Libertad hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Americo Mel took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Zacarias Onbera to make any attempt to save it. In the 77th minute, Unanué's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Americo Mel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luciano Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Onbera having to interfere. Zacarias Onbera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Mel in the 84th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Unanué's goalkeeper Zacarias Onbera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Burni. When the match was over Lapataia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Unanué throughout the match.
