Saul Matai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Beila in the 19th minute of the match. Miguel Ibañez struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Feliciano Gaskon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godoy Cruz AT. 23 minutes into the game, Andres Txurio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Saul Matai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saul Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Nazario, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Godoy Cruz AT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Txurio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. A collision led to Godoy Cruz AT getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ermegildo Maurino hit a great ball. Saul Matai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Beila in the 47th minute of the match. The Godoy Cruz AT players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cabañas AFC were winning 1-4.

51 minutes into the match, Miguel Ibañez notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Cabañas AFC's Feliciano Gaskon. Feliciano Gaskon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Cabañas AFC's zone, Miguel Ibañez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliciano Gaskon came out of the goal and Miguel Ibañez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Ibañez's late challenge caught a Cabañas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Ibañez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Godoy Cruz AT getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Miguel Ibañez hit a great ball. Godoy Cruz AT's Saul Matai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Godoy Cruz AT from getting a goal against them. Saul Matai made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Omar Beila sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Cabañas AFC booed when Godoy Cruz AT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Dorio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
