The supporters of Deheza AFC booed when Magdala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Orlondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Quiroga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Cristian Estevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Esteve Quiroga made a huge save. With a little luck, Magdala's Esteve Quiroga got control of the ball when Prudencio Hibai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alonzo Pitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Loreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Deheza AFC's Teodoro Argina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esteve Quiroga. That made the score 2-0 after 48 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Loreto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Narciso Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magdala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Ganix in the 59th minute of play forced Magdala's goalkeeper Esteve Quiroga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
