After 33 minutes, Ignacio Hever mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elertondo and the Avellaneda players grew even worse after the yellow card. Avellaneda's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 59th minute of the game, when Santos Goyo after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Elertondo's goal. Santos Goyo was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Virgilio Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Adrian Oto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Elertondo got a freekick which was hit by Mario Barea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Ranolfo in the 72nd minute of play forced Elertondo's goalkeeper Antonio Bouwmans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Bittor in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Oto saved Avellaneda from getting behind. Benito Maria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Antonio Bouwmans made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Dionisio Eskuin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Virgilio Eate fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elertondo's protests and gave Virgilio Eate a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, Elertondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Eate to maneuver through the defense. After 84 minutes of play, Elertondo's Virgilio Eate made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
