Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urbano Barto to make the kick off. The supporters of Botija booed when Banfield y Perón F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albino Delfino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Barto in the 55th minute of play. Leonel Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Banfield y Perón F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Constancio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Delmar Joseph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Abad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Constancio went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Urbano Barto hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Leonel Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Banfield y Perón F.C. had played much better football throughout.
