The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Saturnino Eate made a precise shot to the right of Dario Carlomagno. Durazno's Dario Carlomagno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Durazno from getting a goal against them. Anibal Eutropio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Ziomkowski in the 14th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Erubiel Gonsalve kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dario Carlomagno. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Manole Mercea made a precise shot to the right of Anibal Eutropio. Cachiyuyo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Durazno's Manole Mercea got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Prospero Lucado put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dario Carlomagno. Constantino Enekoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Daniel Bitxintxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dario Carlomagno made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Prospero Lucado sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Ziomkowski in the 43rd minute of play forced Cachiyuyo AFC's goalkeeper Anibal Eutropio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erubiel Gonsalve to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Durazno got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Bitxintxo. Dario Carlomagno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Constantino Enekoitz went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Anibal Eutropio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Bitxintxo in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Gwidon Falke shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anibal Eutropio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Durazno's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Enekoitz came free, but Dario Carlomagno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo AFC's goalkeeper Anibal Eutropio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manole Mercea. Gilbert Ziomkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Eutropio having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Prospero Lucado put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dario Carlomagno. The supporters of Durazno booed when Cachiyuyo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Mikelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Benigno Castulo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durazno's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Castulo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Eutropio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute Prospero Lucado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Carlomagno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Constantino Enekoitz made a precise shot to the right of Dario Carlomagno. Durazno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. Ramon Piorno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dario Carlomagno. Durazno's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cachiyuyo AFC fully deserved thier win.
