If Baldomero Iyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernesto Sancho hit a great ball. Atletico Villa Bosch's attentive Joel Jaen managed to snatch the ball when Prospero Incendio made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Marciano Misael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Acevedo's Fidel Vergaray got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Baldomero Iyan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Villa Bosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Severino Gabon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Villa Bosch. Baldomero Iyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Santiago Jon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acevedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Villa Bosch the free kick. In the 45th minute, Santiago Jon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Atletico Villa Bosch were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Marcones to make the kick off. Marciano Misael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Gabon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marciano Misael's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After 60 played minutes Acevedo got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Sancho. Acevedo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marciano Misael 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. A hard shot by Narciso Arce from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Severino Gabon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Severino Gabon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Iyan in the 76th minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Acevedo's goalkeeper Severino Gabon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baldomero Iyan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Severino Gabon made a huge save. Marciano Misael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Gabon having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Acevedo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Baldomero Iyan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 92nd minute Marciano Misael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Gabon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Gabon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Misael in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Atletico Villa Bosch could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Acevedo throughout the match.
