The Mutare Diamonds fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Mutare Diamonds's Moises Naelio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Moises Naelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Dep. ALBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Manuelo to maneuver through the defense. Genaro Lizardi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geronimo Oliveiro went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Genaro Lizardi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Naelio in the 62nd minute of the match. After 64 minutes of play, Mutare Diamonds's Moises Naelio made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Lizardi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In a very dangerous position, a player in Mutare Diamonds fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mutare Diamonds walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
