Geronimo Oliveiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Fulgencio Benino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Cornelio Licerio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Romelio. Mutare Diamonds's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Licerio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Bieito was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Anselmo Bieito took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Bernardo Romelio to make any attempt to save it. 58 minutes into the game, Geronimo Oliveiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mutare Diamonds's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carbo the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Gaueko in the 64th managed to get into a good position. Damian Bondel hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Carbo's Anselmo Bieito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Romelio. That made the score 0-5 after 93 minutes of play. The Mutare Diamonds fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carbo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
