Inocencio Gaueko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Eguntsenti in the 4th minute of the match. A hard shot by Paolo Iruinea from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Antonis Kasselas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Guillermo Salomon took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonis Kasselas. Antonis Kasselas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Florentino Abads short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Antonis Kasselas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 19 minutes into the game, Sarasa's Adolfo Eguntsenti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inocencio Gaueko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sarasa's Antonis Kasselas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Sarasa from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Sarasa's Ramon Savion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Gaueko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 29 minutes of play, Sarasa's Ramon Savion made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inocencio Gaueko was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Angel Remir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilar AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Remir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonis Kasselas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Abad got free with Antonis Kasselas in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonis Kasselas was a little too slow when Godfredo Lidon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florentino Abad to make the kick off. Florentino Abad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Esdras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Antonis Kasselas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Pilar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Angel Remir. In the 60th minute, Gogo Salomon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 played minutes Sarasa got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Eguntsenti. Antonis Kasselas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonis Kasselas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Lidon in the 70th minute of play. Inocencio Gaueko came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarasa's Ramon Savion. But to his dismay, Ramon Savion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florentino Abad in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonis Kasselas saved Sarasa from getting behind. Sarasa's Antonis Kasselas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Abad in the 84th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Guillermo Salomon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
