Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Guillermo Cilio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artemio Oalo's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Celso Juvenal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Urquiza 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Juvenal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Cresconio got free with Gabriel Valerio in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of C. A. Urquiza booed when Cardozo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Lawrence didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Chano's late challenge caught a C. A. Urquiza 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Abreu struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Guillermo Cilio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozo FC. Cardozo FC's Artemio Oalo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C. A. Urquiza 's Guillermo Cilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Oalo in the 95th minute of play.
