The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when INTER FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Quintun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Duardo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gogo Ongile. Gogo Ongile dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gogo Ongile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Ramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Federico Cresconio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Duardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gogo Ongile tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, INTER FC's Jacobo Duardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gogo Ongile narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Distiratsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiburcio Walme struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Gogo Ongile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTER FC. In the 44th minute, Jacobo Duardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Valentin Lucado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Lucado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Distiratsu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Tiburcio Walme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Ongile saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Jacobo Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Duardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. INTER FC's Pankracy Haszczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Distiratsu in the 62nd minute of play. Gogo Ongile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Walme in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacobo Duardo got free with Gogo Ongile in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacobo Duardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Gogo Ongile made a huge save. In the 72nd minute, Isidoro Gai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jacobo Duardo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the INTER FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Duardo couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, INTER FC's Jacobo Duardo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gogo Ongile. Gogo Ongile yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After 80 played minutes INTER FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Walme. Gogo Ongile was a little too slow when Tiburcio Walme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-4. Esteban Ramond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gogo Ongile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's Jorge Distiratsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Haszczak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. INTER FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
