The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ezequiel Peruanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Victor Mero made a huge save. Ezequiel Peruanton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Victor Mero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Ramos in the 16th minute of play forced Arbolito FC's goalkeeper Victor Mero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of San Juan FC booed when Arbolito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernhardt Gamsbøl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes Arbolito FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Birila. Fulgencio Lorencio's late challenge caught a San Juan FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulgencio Lorencio helped the player get up and apologised. Fulgencio Lorencio kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ezequiel Peruanton struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Victor Mero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Juan FC. Ezequiel Peruanton might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Mero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ezequiel Peruanton ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Peruanton during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Arbolito FC's Victor Mero got control of the ball when Ezequiel Peruanton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bento Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Mero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Peruanton to strike the kick off in the second half. When Armando Sayvion came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the San Juan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Sayvion couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Arbolito FC's Elpidio Cordarryl got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Ezequiel Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Canclini kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Ezequiel Peruanton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When the referee ended the match the San Juan FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
