The referee ignored Malditos's protests and gave Benicio Alfonso a yellow card for diving instead. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ismael Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Goren having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Fulgencio Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Ismael Burni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potrerillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Burni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Goren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gregorio Eladio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Atarratze in the 23rd minute of play. Gregorio Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Atarratze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Atarratze in the 35th minute of play forced Potrerillo FC's goalkeeper Gregorio Eladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Charro in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Malditos's Rolando Ponce got a free kick in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Malditos's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Burni came free, but Celestino Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celestino Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Burni in the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Malditos's Celestino Goren got control of the ball when Narciso Nuno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Ismael Burni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celestino Goren. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ismael Burni made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Malditos's zone, Narciso Nuno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Goren came out of the goal and Narciso Nuno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Malditos defense, Ismael Burni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celestino Goren. The Malditos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celestino Goren should have stopped the shot. Basilio Cuarto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Malditos defense, Erubiel Charro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celestino Goren. The Malditos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celestino Goren should have stopped the shot. If Ismael Burni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Nuno in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celestino Goren saved Malditos from getting behind. After 78 played minutes Malditos got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Barbosa. If Ismael Burni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Ismael Burni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celestino Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Nuno in the 94th minute of the match.
