Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Romeo Maidana charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Maidana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Venancio Rosario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Venancio Rosario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Marco Tiniebra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alem's Emiliano Lucado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Alem from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Venancio Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alem's supporters rose to their feet, but Venancio Rosario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Tiniebra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elias Galeno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marco Tiniebra. Winifreda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arnoldo Roland took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiliano Lucado. Emiliano Lucado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 37th minute, Ernesto Poncio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Tiniebra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Marco Tiniebra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Rosario in the 43rd minute of the match. Ernesto Poncio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Alem booed when Winifreda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Bizi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Venancio Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Venancio Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Poncio made a kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alem's goalkeeper Emiliano Lucado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Alem defense, Haroldo Bizi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Lucado. The Alem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Lucado should have stopped the shot. Ivan Felo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marco Tiniebra. Winifreda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Winifreda's Domingos Obeko got a free kick in the 75th minute. Ivan Felo lost his temper 84 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 84 played minutes Alem got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Felo. It was beautiful to see Winifreda's German Quintyn in action when he in the 86th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Emiliano Lucado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Aureo in the 90th minute of play. Winifreda's Braulio Semeno got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Semeno in the 95th minute of play forced Alem's goalkeeper Emiliano Lucado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winifreda were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Alem for a fine match.
