Spectators: 7123 (Terracing: 5344, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 141) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aldo Enekoitz kicked off to start the match. After 15 played minutes Pichincha got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Camerino. Elpidio Raitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Ruy, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Tomás Ruy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Raitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Enekoitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Desaguadero getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Natalio Luix hit a great ball. Aldo Enekoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Aguilera having to interfere. With a little luck, Desaguadero's Froilan Aguilera got control of the ball when Filomeno Moise tried to sneak it across the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Kepa got free with Elpidio Raitin in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the match, Desaguadero's Pablo Kepa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elpidio Raitin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elpidio Raitin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pablo Kepa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 75 minute of play.
