After 25 played minutes Shaqui got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Elia. 29 minutes into the game, Ciénaga FC's Epifanio Oskitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucio Liher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Saverio Santikurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Shaqui's Lucio Liher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Shaqui from getting a goal against them. Ciénaga FC's Augusto Damario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tano Garcia in the 60th minute of play.
