With a little luck, Armstrong's Norberto Rufio got control of the ball when Ciro Mitxel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montecarlo's zone, Jorge Acevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Quintan came out of the goal and Jorge Acevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armstrong's attentive Jorge Acevedo managed to snatch the ball when Inocencio Ereinotz made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Esteve Quintan came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Armstrong's Timur Tischenko. But to his dismay, Timur Tischenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Diego Gutierrez kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Timur Tischenko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montecarlo's Esteve Quintan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Timur Tischenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteve Quintan was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Montecarlo's zone, Timur Tischenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Quintan came out of the goal and Timur Tischenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armstrong's Diego Gutierrez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nicolas Elivareo, made in the 39th minute of the game. Timur Tischenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Esteve Quintan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timur Tischenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Quintan having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natalio Elija to make the kick off. Esteve Quintan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timur Tischenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Montecarlo fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Montecarlo's Natalio Elija looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Norberto Rufio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Elija, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Humberto Gizon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Rufio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Mitxel in the 65th minute of the match. Jaime Peru kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Armstrong's Timur Tischenko got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armstrong's attentive Martin Jerrald managed to snatch the ball when Nicolas Elivareo made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Nicolas Elivareo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Armstrong's Diego Gutierrez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timur Tischenko in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteve Quintan saved Montecarlo from getting behind. Jaime Peru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Esteve Quintan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montecarlo's goalkeeper Esteve Quintan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Armstrong played a much better game than Montecarlo and deserved their victory. The Montecarlo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
