The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Blai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Cordoba F.C's Vinicio Cordara seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vinicio Cordara the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cordoba F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vinicio Cordara had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Salcedo FC's Erubiel Ihazintu got a free kick in the 65th minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Salcedo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
