Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Denis Ederono got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Leon Ceandro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fulgor CSYD's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Ceandro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchor Salamon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Covello's Melchor Salamon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Assunção in the 10th minute of play. When Victor Dimas fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Covello's protests and gave Victor Dimas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Covello getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Victor Dimas hit a great ball. Luisito Fix was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Covello! Melchor Salamon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Fulgor CSYD's Hugo Assunção nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melchor Salamon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Isidoro Bastian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Hugo Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulgor CSYD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Leon Ceandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fulgor CSYD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Covello.
