Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 140) Reta AFC's Adrian Inge started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leon Cloyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Jakobe having to interfere. After some careless play in the VALENCIA CF defense, Apolo Bladi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rickard Karlberg. The VALENCIA CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rickard Karlberg should have stopped the shot. Reta AFC's Ermegildo Jakobe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Lopes in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Reta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Fortun to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Inge during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adrian Inge hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Sergio Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Jakobe having to interfere. Ermegildo Jakobe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Lopes in the 31st minute of the match. Leon Cloyo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Scigan in the 35th minute of play forced Reta AFC's goalkeeper Ermegildo Jakobe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sergio Lopes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ermegildo Jakobe. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. Ermegildo Jakobe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Scigan in the 39th minute of the match. Ermegildo Jakobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Aresti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Marcel Schulte suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 43 minutes into the game, Fabricio Fortun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Reta AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VALENCIA CF the free kick. Fabricio Fortun hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Bogdan Scigan took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ermegildo Jakobe. Ermegildo Jakobe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bogdan Scigan made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Leon Cloyo made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Jakobe. Reta AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 60 minutes of play, VALENCIA CF's Bogdan Scigan made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Jakobe was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Urbano Aresti managed to get in a good position for a shot. VALENCIA CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Aresti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermegildo Jakobe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogdan Scigan in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Jakobe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bogdan Scigan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Jakobe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Saul Turi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. VALENCIA CF's Claudio Cordaro got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Blas Gurutz kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ermegildo Jakobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Apolo Bladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, VALENCIA CF's Bogdan Scigan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ermegildo Jakobe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fabricio Fortun was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Fabricio Fortun hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Bogdan Scigan scored 5-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ermegildo Jakobe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leon Cloyo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ermegildo Jakobe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VALENCIA CF. Ermegildo Jakobe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Scigan in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Urbano Aresti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermegildo Jakobe was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. There was no doubt that VALENCIA CF were the better team. VALENCIA CF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
