When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Benigno Fagondo sped through Guatimozín FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomás Elixio. After 12 played minutes Guatimozín FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Calvino. Tomás Elixio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fidel Botello went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Victor Domenec kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Fidel Botello kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Sopanta's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Gaufred came free, but Eloy Aureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Elixio came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sopanta's Benigno Fagondo. But to his dismay, Benigno Fagondo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 26 minutes into the match, Benigno Fagondo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Elixio. Guatimozín FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benigno Fagondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Paolo Normando hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guatimozín FC's zone, Benigno Fagondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Elixio came out of the goal and Benigno Fagondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Llope succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 34th playminute. Benigno Fagondo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Tomás Elixio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sopanta. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximiliano Gaufred made a kick off. Eloy Aureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Gaufred in the 54th minute of the match. Eloy Aureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Arano in the 56th minute of play. Benigno Fagondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Tomás Elixio made a huge save. With a little luck, Guatimozín FC's Tomás Elixio got control of the ball when Fidel Botello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ernesto Arano hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Benigno Fagondos short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Tomás Elixio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Fidel Botello kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomás Elixio. That made the score 1-5 in the 68 minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Fidel Botello dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tomás Elixio, 1-6. Fidel Botello got in the 75th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Tomás Elixio handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Fidel Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tomás Elixio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benigno Fagondo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tomás Elixio firmly grabbed it by the left post. 81 minutes into the match, Guatimozín FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Botello came free, but Tomás Elixio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Benigno Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Mauricio Llope left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guatimozín FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benigno Fagondo got free with Tomás Elixio in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Guatimozín FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sopanta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
