The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alvaro Urre came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Pauli FC's Ciriaco Arotza. But to his dismay, Ciriaco Arotza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 18 played minutes Pauli FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Gonsalve. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Arotza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvaro Urre was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Cristian Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvaro Urre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Eneko went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 44 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Ciclon's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Abeijon came free, but Alvaro Urre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Club Atletico Ciclon's Jacobo Benet in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pauli FC's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Pauli FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Club Atletico Ciclon getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jacobo Benet hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, Club Atletico Ciclon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Matias to maneuver through the defense. Club Atletico Ciclon's Alvaro Urre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Jaunti in the 56th minute of play. Alvaro Urre was a little too slow when Ricardo Jaunti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-3. Cristian Eneko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Alvaro Urre made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Club Atletico Ciclon:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pauli FC:s goal. Club Atletico Ciclon:s Alvaro Urre showed great skill when he stopped Cristian Eneko:s penalty. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Ciclon defense, Cristian Eneko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Urre. The Club Atletico Ciclon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Urre should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Uriel Argina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pauli FC made a substitution. Lucio Ostots replaced Romulo Abeijon. Cristian Eneko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Urre having to interfere. Ruperto Boni's late challenge caught a Pauli FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Boni helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Ciclon's Ruperto Boni got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 83 played minutes Club Atletico Ciclon got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Boni. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lorenzo Sidro in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Urre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Eneko got free with Alvaro Urre in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Eneko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pauli FC made a substitution. Bonifacio Oihan replaced Uriel Argina. After 96 minutes, Lorenzo Sidro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pauli FC and the Club Atletico Ciclon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pauli FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
