Gregorio Telo was a little too slow when Herminio Cordaro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Gregorio Telo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herminio Cordaro's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Gregorio Telo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Club Atlético Clenoa got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Ederono. Carolo Laurendi hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luisito Etxahun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Lucila was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After 19 played minutes Hannover 1985 got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Lastur. Leonel Lucila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Etxahun in the 23rd minute of the match. Club Atlético Clenoa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rene Valiente in the 24th minute. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Clenoa's corner Rene Valiente fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonel Lucila quite easily take care of the ball. In the 26th minute, Fulgencio Estebano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gregorio Telo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herminio Cordaro went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Gregorio Telo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herminio Cordaro's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Urtungo got free with Gregorio Telo in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Cordaro in the 36th minute of play forced Club Atlético Clenoa's goalkeeper Gregorio Telo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Leonel Urtungo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hannover 1985's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Urtungo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Urtungo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Telo having to interfere. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Wilfredo Firmin with Zacarias Garaile as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 43rd minute, Herminio Cordaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Celedonio Lastur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregorio Telo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luisito Etxahun made a kick off. Leonel Lucila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisito Etxahun in the 54th minute of play. Gregorio Telo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Urtungo went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Club Atlético Clenoa's Prospero Maurino was substituted for Luisito Etxahun. Gregorio Telo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Lastur, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Clenoa's zone, Leonel Urtungo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Telo came out of the goal and Leonel Urtungo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Atlético Clenoa made a substitution. Mateo Isias replaced Rene Valiente. Celedonio Lastur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 minutes of play, Hannover 1985's Leonel Urtungo made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregorio Telo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonel Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Urtungo scored 7-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregorio Telo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Clenoa defense, Leonel Urtungo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gregorio Telo. The Club Atlético Clenoa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gregorio Telo should have stopped the shot. After 93 minutes, Gabriel Rayman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hannover 1985 and the Club Atlético Clenoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabriel Rayman kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Hannover 1985 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
